Welcome to My Vision
On this page, you can scroll through my top priorities for our city.
As far back as I can remember, my grandparents and my parents always taught us the importance of education, good ethics and integrity, as well as the fulfillment which comes from serving our community. These are the principles that drove me to be involved and to spend over a decade in volunteering and community organizing.
I want to use my public advocacy experience, along with my professional background as an engineer at Ford for the service of our hometown and its residents.
I plan to bring my expertise to the City Council, and I will always push for data-driven, evidence-based best practices in city management. We can do better in providing city services and, as the recovery shapes up, I would like to see Dearborn be a leader in innovative city planning to make it a great place to live, work, visit, and do business.
Let’s Build a Better Dearborn.
Sustainable Development and Water Infrastructure
A real solution to our flooding and electrical grid problems must be found, and paid for through grants and other infrastructure financing opportunities
Reevaluation and full independent investigation by professionals of our current wastewater and electrical infrastructure, with an eye on preparing for future storms and resident needs
As we build a new system, we will have the opportunity to re-shape the landscape of our city, and we should look for cross-functional uses
Move toward cleaner air, water, and energy, both in the public and private sectors
Make Dearborn more pedestrian, bike, and transit friendly as we transition to new styles of mobility
Public Safety
Advocate for safer streets and neighborhoods by providing for more speeding enforcement
Push for effective and community-oriented policing policies that focus on building partnerships and problem-solving techniques to proactively address conditions that give rise to public safety issues
Use data driven, evidence-based best practices in city management of any crisis, whether it be drug abuse, mental health, or a pandemic
Fiscal Responsibility and Better City Services
Use my professional experience and expertise to ensure better management of city projects while maintaining a high level of transparency
Ensure our tax dollars are spent efficiently while maintaining good city services and building toward the future, with a goal of reducing our tax burdens
Leverage modern technology to improve city services
Support Businesses
Eliminate the challenges small business owners face when opening a business in the city and cut red tape at the city departments
Streamline the building permitting process – a benefit to small business owners as well as homeowners
Find uses for our shuttered commercial properties
Strengthen collaborations with the University of Michigan, Ford Motor Company, Beaumont Health Systems and other private and public entities to further economic growth
